How do I improve my results on the Mimic Pro Search simulation?
Make sure you maintain the "path of relevance."
Google expects you to provide customers with the best experience possible. For you to see success with the simulation make sure to do the following.
- Use as many adgroups as you can. To start, use one adgroup for Go Pro and the related keywords, one adgroup for the Panasonic Lumix, and one for the Canon Rebel. Each should ONLY have keywords related to that product and each should have the landing page be the specific product page for that product.
- Add more keywords. If there are more relevant keywords, add as many as you can. Find the ones that are most closely related and use them. Be sure to look at search volume, competition, and average CPC.
- Watch your bids. To start, raise your bids about 10%-15% above the suggested bid (i.e., if the suggested bid is $1.00, set your bids at $1.10 or $1.15). This will raise your ad position and should help you get more clicks!
- Use all of your budgets. The budget does not carry over from round to round. Make sure you use as much as you can.
- Look at the profit margins and revenue. Sell brands that are high ticket, high profit, not just popular.
- Test, test, test! Testing new ads, landing pages and keywords is the core focus for an internet marketer. Try new things and see what works. Make adjustments and test again. You can create several ads for one adgroup in the Mimic Pro simulation, just like you can in Google AdWords. Be sure to take advantage of this, and always be trying to improve your ad copy and landing page.
